Elmedia Player is a versatile media player for Mac OS X that allows you to play a wide range of formats. It is the free version of Elmedia Player Pro, which offers additional features such as online video downloading, full-screen mode, and a snapshot tool.

The interface of Elmedia Player is similar to iTunes, making it easy to navigate and use. You can create, manage, and delete playlists, as well as create smart playlists based on specific criteria.

Elmedia Player supports playback of various formats, including FLV, SWF, XAP (Silverlight), RM, RV (Real), AVI, MOV, and MP4. However, the free version does not allow you to download videos from the web or view videos in full-screen mode. It also installs additional components to help you cache video footage.

Despite its limitations, Elmedia Player for Mac is an interesting alternative to iTunes for playing media files on your Mac.
