Escape the clutches of a demented fast-food chain mascot in the thrilling adventure game, Ronald. Developed by Something Something Games, this first-person 3D indie game is a psychological horror parody featuring the infamous Ronald McDonald as the monstrous antagonist.

Similar to the popular game Slenderman, your objective in Ronald is to locate and collect all the Happy Meals scattered throughout the map before being caught by Ronald himself. As you progress closer to victory, Ronald will relentlessly pursue you, increasing the tension and challenge. However, be aware that the game's download file size is larger than most indie games.

In Ronald, you find yourself in a creepy location with minimal explanation, reminiscent of Slenderman. The map consists of a car park surrounded by a gas station, a store, and a restaurant that satirizes McDonald's. Your task is to find all 8 randomly placed Happy Meal boxes to win the game, all while being stalked by the unsettling presence of "Ronald McDoogal."

Unlike other similar games, Ronald will chase you more aggressively right from the start, and his behavior can be unpredictable. Sometimes he will stop pursuing you once you are far away, while other times he will continue the chase. The game provides a satisfying challenge, although there are instances where Ronald fails to spawn in certain sections, making the game easier to complete.

Visually, Ronald is stunning thanks to the Unreal Engine, creating a dim and foggy atmosphere that enhances the horror experience. Ronald's in-game model is disturbing, resembling a cheap knock-off, but he will immediately charge at you upon sight. However, the game's beauty comes at a cost, as the file size is a whopping 15 GB.

All in all, Ronald is an intriguing parody and horror game for fans of the Slenderman series. The gameplay mechanics are easy to grasp, even without a tutorial, although one would have been a welcome addition. The game can be completed within a few minutes, but the large file size may deter those expecting a smaller indie horror game.
