When you launch GOM Cam, a tutorial window appears to guide you through its major functions. You can easily search and filter these files using tags and the thumbnail view. The left-side ribbon provides five recording options: Screen, Image, Webcam, Game, and Lecture.

The Screen and Image options offer slim arrow buttons that open a drop-down menu for easy choices. Screen allows you to select video size, while Image provides options like Single Capture, Capture All Screens, Scrolling Capture, and GIF Animation. Once you select a recording action, your mouse cursor becomes a magnified crosshair, allowing you to select an area. The recording screen offers additional features such as Draw, Effects, and PIP, along with a small monitoring view and recording controls.

GOM Cam also offers three other recording options: Webcam, Game, and Lecture. Webcam captures your webcam feed, Game is optimized for fast framerate recordings, and Lecture allows you to use both webcam and microphone while presenting slides. You can easily share your recordings on YouTube, Google Drive, or Vimeo using the Upload function. GOM Cam also includes a scheduling feature for recordings.
