Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare is a re-imagining of the popular action game, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. This game brings the series back to its roots, offering a more grounded and realistic military shooter experience. Unlike previous titles, Modern Warfare does away with advanced mobility mechanics and hero-shooter aspects, focusing instead on a more traditional gameplay style.

The game features a complete single-player campaign that is both brutal and beautiful. Players will follow the story of Captain Price and other familiar faces as they navigate through modern times, primarily in the fictional country of Urzikstan. While the game does pay homage to previous titles, it also introduces new sequences to keep the gameplay fresh.

In addition to the single-player campaign, Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare offers revamped multiplayer campaigns. The competitive online multiplayer campaign and the co-operative special ops mode provide players with a variety of gameplay options. The game map has also undergone changes, abandoning the three-lane structure for a more open-ended design. This allows for more strategic gameplay, with camping positions and a brutal time-to-kill adding to the challenge.
